The Persistence of Pestilence
Covid-19 is a PESTILENCE.
So was the Spanish Flu, Smallpox, the Bubonic Plague, Black Death and the Plague Of Justinian.
Today, it's Zika, Cholera, SARS, Dengue Fever, Yellow Fever, Ebola, the Hantaviruses, etc.
The Dictionary describes 'pestilence' as an "infectious disease", or "any epidemic outbreak of a deadly and highly infectious disease."
The Scriptures simply describes pestilence as a "disease", a "plague." It is not the name of any special disease, nor does it differentiate between a "pandemic" and an "epidemic".. just PLAGUE. We all know how plagues end up.. just read the book of Exodus. Pestilence brings illness, panic, misery, contagion AND death. PERIOD!
An EPIDEMIC is an outbreak of an infection or contagious disease that has a wide rapid spread, growth, or development. A PANDEMIC is really an epidemic. Its spread over a wide geographic area BUT it affects a large proportion of the population.
Covid-19 is really an epidemic at this stage because it has not affected a large portion of the population... yet.
Where and how Covid-19 originated doesn't really matter. What DOES matter is that (a) diseases will continue to become worse (b) they will be incurable and (c) we were warned.
(A) DISEASES WILL BECOME WORSE
New diseases are cropping up almost every day. The old ones we thought we had under control are cropping back up. Recently, it's been Polio in Pakistan (which was supposedly eradicated in 1999) and the Measles which the WHO said should have been eradicated in 2015, but goals failed. As recently as January 2020, the Nation of Maldives reported an outbreak. With each new disease, we just don't have the ability, knowledge or science to combat it. Last year, scientists finally sounded the alarm.
Outbreaks are inevitable. Whether they become pandemics depends on our response. Pandemics have always depended upon fast travel networks and dense populations, once relatively unusual, now a global norm. Diseases like H1N1 (that showed up in 2009), SARS and MERS could have quite easily reached the pandemic stage but the viruses were snuffed out. Cured? Hardly. They are still around today, incurable. SARS spread to a number of countries around the world but the virus went into hiding after about 8,000 cases and nearly 800 deaths. Global response was effective but NONE are eradicated.
Covid-19 has been declared a global public health emergency.
Translation: EPIDEMIC!
Have you read Mattithyah (Matthew) 24:7 lately? Here's what it says:
"For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, and pestilences in place after place"
PESTILENCES. DISEASES in place after place... over and over again.... They don’t come suddenly. They come as pains upon a woman with child. They grow and they get more severe over time. They grow in severity and they grow in strength, the pains and their lasting effects. This is what we see coming now. The disease and the superbugs are getting stronger and stronger each day. The world knew this day was coming.
This article printed in September 2019 should have set off warning bells ... but it didn't.
We knew this was coming because it was written about in Deuteronomy 28.
vs.21 Yahweh will make the plagues (pestilences) cling to you vs.22 Yahweh will strike you with consumption (a wasting disease, progressive wasting of the body, a disease involving the lungs), with a fever, with an inflammation vs.27 Yahweh will afflict you with the disease of Egypt, with tumors, with festering sores, from which you cannot be healed. No healing. No cures. Incurable. Which leads us to:
(B) THEY WILL BE INCURABLE
As of 2015, there were over 7000 known diseases that were identified as INCURABLE ..... and of that, only 500 are 'TREATABLE'. You're looking at the likes of Cancer, HIV/AIDS, Diabetes, Cystic Fibrosis, Herpes, Hepatitis B, etc. Here's a list of some of the incurable diseases (Wikipedia Incurable Diseases Link)
Covid-19 will NOT be cured. How can we be so sure? Read this in Yeremyah (Jeremiah):
Chapter 30:13 "You have no healing medicines"
Chapter 30:15 "Your disease is incurable"
Chapter 46:11 "In vain you will use many medicines; but you will not be cured."
NO vaccine will cure Covid-19. This article says the same thing.
The virus causing the disease mutates so how on earth can we possibly find the EXACT genetic sequencing code? IMPOSSIBLE! And then, finding a viral sequence that will reliably cause a protective immune-system memory but not trigger an acute inflammatory response that would itself cause symptoms? Then, take into account testing on lab models and animals, and eventually in people. One does not simply ship a billion viral gene fragments around the world to be injected into everyone at the moment of discovery. You see where this is going.
Look at Cancer. NO cure. Billions of dollars in research, thousands of scientists looking for cures ... and NOTHING. Cut it out, it comes back. Tell someone they are cured and it returns, months or years later. They have not cured the root of the problem which is, what causes uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the body? Cancer mutates and so does every other disease just like Covid-19. It's unpredictable and is incredibly cunning in its ability to survive, hide in dark corners, and sicken people with chronic and sometimes fatal consequences. A recent article shows that that Covid-19 doesn't die. It hides and comes back.
The coronavirus is mutating.
Some who were 'cured' are becoming reinfected again.
Here, we find out that recovered patients are STILL contagious.
Psalm 91:6 says that these "pestilence" walk in darkness. "The pestilence that walks in darkness". This doesn’t mean they wait until night comes; it means you cannot see them. They are microbes, invisible to the naked eye.
Covid-19 is a pestilence, a disease epidemic. What we are facing right now is sins of the past that are actually being turned loose, advertised and multiplied. The multiplication of these sins is creating mutations. They are crossing these parasites and breeding new ones. They are incurable.
(C) WE WERE WARNED
Yahweh warned us already of these incurable disease epidemics. We gave you only a small fraction of scriptures to look at as proof but the scriptures show numerous other examples of incurable diseases coming because of sin. Don't look for a cure anytime soon.. it's just NOT COMING.
